Day after Christmas

Twas the day after Christmas and the stable was still not a house. Mary was still in pain from the child birth, the baby was crying to be fed and cleaned, and the mess made by the Shepherds who intruded into the stable in the middle of the night still had to be cleaned up. A job and a house were items of urgent concern and the census crowds still made doing anything difficult. And Joseph was looking up to heaven and silently saying, “God are you sure I am the man you want to take care of the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among men?” Remember that Christmas must be lived beyond Christmas
