While in Egypt Abraham gained Gold (That divided his family) and a Girl (Hagar – that still causes trouble today!!). He lost Time, Testimony, and, eventually, his nephew Lot (Took Lot out of Egypt but could never get Egypt out of Lot). Young married couples need to be aware of this. Upon returning to Canaan they found that their riches were causing them problems and a choice had to be made. This choice affected the rest of their lives
