May Christmas be a GREAT TIME in your life

May Christmas be a GREAT TIME in your life
Will your day be GROANING or GLORY? Will you TRUST Jesus enough to TOUCH Him?
DECEMBER. Christmas prep, car insurance due, house insurance due, and so on. Lovely Princess Paula looked at me and asked what we were going to do? I reached for her hand and said, “Let’s Pray”. The moment I said, “Amen” the mailman knocked at my door (Family member mailed a package to me for safekeeping) and handed me my mail. The card said, “Thinking of you” and contained a check that met several needs- God is Good, even in DECEMBER!
I Thank God that I can Thank God. I rejoice in His Blessings, wonder at His Works, and rest in His Loving care- Glory!
Who will be impacted by the things which impact you?
How has your suffering shaped you this week?
Will your actions and attitude today make life Bitter or Better?
Never forget that the text for Jesus’ first sermon was: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, and recovering of sight to the blind, TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED, (Luke 4:18).
Ps 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Rom 12:3).
WHAT IS FAITH? Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. — Heb 11:1
WHERE DOES FAITH COME FROM? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. — Rom 10:17
1) The MEASURE of Faith deals with a man’s PRIDE (Not to think too highly of self but to think soberly) which is dealt with when you realize that “they who compare themselves among themselves are not wise” (2Cor 10:12).
2 The AMOUNT of Faith This is why it is important for each person to realize the PORTION OF FAITH given to them for THEIR Ministry (Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith (Romans 12:6).
After all, where did our abilities come from? For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? (1 Cor 4:7). For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 1 Cor 12:8-9.
3) The KINDS of Faith:
A) WEAK FAITH: Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations (Romans 14:1).
B) STRONG FAITH: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; (Romans 4:20).
THE CONSEQUENCES OF FAITHLESSNESS: And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23).
HOW CAN YOU INCREASE YOUR FAITH? A) Pray for More Faith, B) Exercise the Faith you have, and C) Get more of the source of Faith (The Word of God) into your life. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do (Luke 17:5-10).
